Who We Are

In 2017, the Immigrant and Refugee Center of Northern Colorado began as a combined operation between Right to Read of Weld County and the Global Refugee Center. Becoming one, larger organization provides us the opportunity to provide further services to our clients.

Our Mission: Empowering refugees and immigrants, connecting communities, and advocating for successful integration.

What We Do

We provide English language training, Citizenship classes, and Community Navigation services to others. Volunteer opportunities include assisting in an ESL class, tutoring students, helping in our Little Learner's Childcare, and distributing food at the Weld Food truck.

To volunteer as a class assistant, tutor, or childcare assistant, please sign up on our volunteer portal. https://www.ircnoco.org/volunteer.   This does not commit you to volunteering, it simply connects you with communication regarding volunteering. Once you have completed your volunteer application and orientation, all volunteers are required to do a background check; the link is on the same page. There is a $20 charge. This is to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

For the Food truck distribution please sign up using the link: Here is the link: http://vhub.at/IRCmobilefoodpantry  Please come to our center from 9:30-11:30 on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month to assist with this volunteer opportunity.
