Who We Are

Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains (LFSRM) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1948 to provide adoptive placements for babies. Over time, programs were added to meet new community needs: birth parent counseling, disaster relief, foster care, older adult services, refugee resettlement, and Family Support and Education. Today, LFSRM is one of the largest private foster care providers in Colorado and the largest refugee resettlement agency in the Rocky Mountain region.

Our Mission: Rooted in the values of kindness, dignity, and social justice, LFSRM strengthens communities by providing support, guidance, and resource coordination to individuals and families throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

We believe ALL children and families deserve support during their most challenging times. That belief guides LFSRM’s work and is at the heart of CareHouse- Family Support & Education, a specialized program serving families exclusively in Greeley (Weld County).

What We Do

At CareHouse, we provide a safe and welcoming space for child exchanges and trauma-informed family time services. These services reduce conflict, strengthen parent–child relationships, and ensure children can maintain safe, meaningful connections with their nonresidential parent.

In addition to In-Person and Virtual Supervised Family Time, Monitored Family Time, and Safe Exchanges, CareHouse offers virtual Parent Education programs, including the 8-week Nurturing Parenting course and the 4-hour State-Mandated Co-Parenting Seminar.

Located in Greeley, CareHouse partners with courts, human services, schools, and community organizations to meet the unmet needs of families navigating custody disputes, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and/or high-conflict situations.

We strive to create a safe space where families receive the guidance, structure, and education they need to heal and move forward.

Every day, families in Weld County, surrounding counties, and other states turn to CareHouse for safety, support, and hope—and we are committed to walking alongside them in their journey toward healthier relationships and stronger futures.
