Volunteer: Emergency Department Guest Relations Volunteer

We are looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers to help round on guests during their stay in the emergency room. Volunteers will need critical thinking skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Volunteers will serve as a liaison between patients and staff and help support families with wayfinding. All volunteers must complete an onboarding which consists of background, health screen and safety training. Volunteer commitment is one shift a week for 6 months or 100 hours of service. Shifts are 3:00-6:00 PM seven days a week. This is a great assignment for those interested in a health care career.

Help enhance customer service by providing fresh baked cookies and snacks to patients and families on the WIS Unit (Woman & Infant Services) at North Colorado Medical Center. Volunteers will bake cookies and round with juice and snacks on patients and their families on the unit during the "Mommy & Me Moments, between 4-5 PM." Duties also include stocking supplies in the department kitchen.

This is a weekly volunteer commitment for six months, and we are unable to accommodate drop in volunteer opportunities.

Our Surgery Waiting Room is looking for a compassionate and empathetic volunteer to assist patients and their families during their surgery procedures. Volunteers will help keep our families up to date with information on their loved one's surgery, help our guests with wayfinding, and to help provide a positive experience for our patients and families.

We are looking for detail orientated volunteers with a passion for customer service as well as being a team member supporting the clinical staff. Communication and outstanding customer service skills needed as well as a heart for serving others.

Our friendly and helpful volunteers greet and assist families, patients and visitors with helping them navigate a busy hospital environment. Volunteers help escort patients and help pick up our discharged patients from their rooms and take them through the dismissal process, so they return home after their stay. This is a very physical volunteer position with frequent walking and pushing wheelchairs. Volunteers are scheduled for at the minimum one shift a week, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.
