On Wednesday, March 25, related to COVID-19 Governor Jared Polis issued a stay at home order for the State of Colorado. As such, United Way of Weld County and Catholic Charities are partnering to ensure that we can provide this for individuals experiencing homelessness in Greeley, Evans, and Weld County. To do this, we need your help!
***Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to all volunteers helping at the Housing Navigation Center (HNC).
Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to clean common areas, including restroom facilities and eating areas
- Ability to interact with a variety of different people (volunteers, staff and households experiencing homelessness). While direct interaction with homeless households will be limited, it may occur.
- Ability to be flexible and perform different daily facility, management tasks, depending on what is needed most (e.g. making rounds in and outside of the building, helping ensure people abide by social distancing, etc.).
- Positive, flexible and non-judgmental attitude – many of the households we serve have different needs and are at different points on their path back to housing.
