The purpose of this volunteer position is to help support the HNC’s cold weather shelter program staff with meal service for all guests at the shelter. The volunteers that help with meal service will work alongside program staff to give them the time and capacity to complete the guest check-in and intake process every evening at the shelter.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prep meal service area
- Plate and serve meal to all guests
- Clean and sanitize serving tools and work area after meal service is complete
Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Interested in the efforts of the HNC
- Good problem solver
- Dress code: casual. Please do not wear short shorts or crop tops.
