Classroom Assistant Volunteers are an important part of the Immigrant and Refugee Center of Northern Colorado. They assist with ELA teachers, Digital Literacy, and Citizenship teachers to manage classes, practice literacy, and aide in classroom group activities. Volunteers will be working with a diverse population with many different languages represented; however, all classes are English immersive. Therefore, volunteers do not need to be bilingual. We ask that volunteers commit to one consistent class session per week which are typically 1.5 - 2 hours.
