Be a Navigator at Weld Project Connect!

Navigators help guide guests through the services at Weld Project Connect. You’ll be paired with a guest or family, review their needs, and help them access what they need!

Navigators are required to attend training. More info available below!Need training on the day of? Training begins at 10:00 AM and runs approximately every half hour until 1:00. If you complete training before the day of, you can begin arriving at 10:45 AM! If you volunteered for Weld Project Connect in 2023 and 2024, you do not need to attend training. Diaper packages are needed to ensure that our tiniest neighbors are happy, healthy and thriving.

*Diaper packages consist of 24 diapers neatly packaged in a plastic bag, with a "diaper size label". Smaller diaper sizes (newborn, 1, and 2) needed most.

COST: Approx. $6/KIT (MINIMUM 20 KITS) *This is strictly a guideline for businesses that have the ability to purchase items needed to make this service to go project.

Volunteer: Learn More About Preparing and Serving Meals at the Overnight Shelter

Volunteers are expected to cook (or purchase ready-to-eat hot meals) in advance of the volunteer shift and bring the food COOKED to serve.

The purpose of this volunteer position is to help support the HNC’s Overnight Shelter program staff with meal service for all guests at the shelter. The volunteers that help with meal service will work alongside program staff to give them the time and capacity to complete the guest check-in and intake process every evening at the shelter.

Warm Essentials kits are filled with basic necessities that are essential to keeping our neighbors in Weld County warm during cold weather. These are best kept in drawstring bags (which can be company-branded or blank).

Volunteer: Housing Navigation Center Internship

Internship opportunities are available to help support the Housing Navigation Center and to provide an opportunity for qualified candidates to gain valuable workplace experience in the field of nonprofits. Interns will work closely with individuals experiencing homeless to help them access needed services, perform intakes, work with community partners, apply for services, and explore housing and employment opportunities. Interns will also be expected to take on 1 to 2 special projects to help improve the services at the Navigation Center. Additional daily responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Interns are also responsible for implementing and upholding the Housing First model when interacting with guests.
