Volunteer Opportunities From: United Way Weld County

Volunteer: Do You Enjoy Visiting With Older Neighbors in WINDSOR

Looking for a win/win volunteer opportunity?!

When someone is caring for a loved one at home, it can become increasingly difficult for them to focus on themselves and their own needs. Caring Companion volunteers know that they are serving their community in a meaningful and impactful way!

Everyone benefits from companionship and social contact, especially these days. By giving just 2 hours of your time once a week for a minimum of 6 months, you are giving family caregivers of an older loved one a much needed break. You are also giving their loved one the opportunity to spend time with you!

Volunteers DO provide much needed socialization and friendship, and caregiver respite.   Volunteers DO NOT provide personal care, lifting, or transferring, direct medical assistance or advice, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation or case management.

We are doing in-person visits and are currently asking that all volunteers and clients wear masks for the duration of the visit.

Support and training is provided. Call us today for more information!
