Volunteer Opportunities From: United Way Weld County

Volunteer: PowerUp Program Administrator

Today's youth are facing more challenges than ever — and that’s why your involvement matters.

Volunteer as a PowerUp Program Administrator!

Make a lasting difference in the lives of Weld County youth! As a PowerUp Program Administrator, you’ll train and support community members who use our free PowerUp Co-Ed and PowerUp Girls for Life video-based programs to strengthen mental, social, and behavioral health, safety, equality, and academic success in youth.

You'll make a crucial impact by helping groups learn how to create fun, active-learning experiences that build life skills for well-being, success, confidence, resilience, and connection in youth.

Choose how you make an impact:

Train and support Weld County community and parent groups, youth-serving organizations, and school counselors who run our free, plug-and-play programs with fun games that require minimal prep and supplies. We give you all the training, materials, and guidance you need so you can jump in with confidence.

Assist a group as they implement their PowerUp sessions.

Lead a PowerUp program in your community! We'd show you how easy it is and provide all the guidance you need to support your youth with life skill education and fun.

As a PowerUp Program Administrator working with people who are running programs, you’ll meet virtually or in person to demonstrate how to access and use our videos that contain life skill lessons and illustrated activity and game instructions, as well as our online printable supplies. You'll also provide program coordination advice and our suggestions for promoting positive cultures where youth feel safe, supported, and connected.

Join us to empower Weld County youth well-being and success and strengthen our communities!

Thank you for your interest in serving as a mentor to our future leaders. Mentors can support students with academic guidance or simply check in with students thus offering support as positive role models in our community. Research tells that mentors create a lasting positive impact on the health and well being of students. The program offers three shifts where mentors can choose from to volunteer.
