What We Do

RSVP Volunteers in Service invites adults age 55 and over to use their life experience and skills to answer the call of their low-income seniors in need while working with the volunteers who make up our organization. Reading Partners: Trained reading partners assist and mentor elementary school children in reading skills. SHOP Handyman Service: Volunteers build wheelchair ramps and handrails for low-income seniors and handicapped individuals. Grocery Shopping Service: Volunteers fill grocery orders for individuals who are unable to shop for themselves. Disaster preparedness Program: Volunteers provide education and assistance regarding emergency response plans, drills, resources and exercises. Veterans' Outreach: Volunteers provide support groups and resources for veterans and their families. Medicare Insurance questions: Trained Volunteers assist seniors with Medicare and Medicaid questions. Tax assistance: Trained Volunteers assist seniors with income tax preparation. Project connection for telephone support to stay off isolation.
