City of Greeley Museums

Since 1929, City of Greeley Museums’ mission has remained unchanged: to collect, preserve, interpret, and share the history of northeastern Colorado. We hold nearly 90,000 items in our collections and maintain over 40 historic buildings across 17 acres and 4 museum sites. Collection of Weld County treasures started in the early 20th century and by 1929, residents preserved it in Greeley’s first official museum: Meeker Home Museum. Centennial Village was added in 1976 as a Bicentennial Project, White Plumb Farm was donated by the Plumb family in 1996 and Greeley History Museum found a home in the refurbished Greeley Tribune Building in 2005.

The City of Greeley Museums collect, preserve, interpret, and share the history of northeastern Colorado. We invite the public to be part of our mission. Volunteers are critical to this mission, and every year we host dozens. Volunteers provide vital support to our research, collecting, education and interpretation. We even have volunteer wood carvers and blacksmiths! We are looking to expand our volunteer opportunities into the community to support homeless veterans, community service, life-long learning and connecting all of Greeley and Weld County communities through shared cultural heritage.
