Tree Lighting and Tales from the Hearth

It's that time of year once again! Come down to Centennial Village and help us celebrate Homesteader's Holiday! This sign up is only for afternoon and evening Friday where we will be hosting a tree lighting ceremony and debuting Stories from the Hearth, where we gather in our different historic homes and share holiday traditions from history and tell ghost stories as they did in Victorian times. Opportunities include: House Guides, Greeters, Hot Beverage Station, Cookie Station, Scene Extras (these are in the first shift) Greeters, Tour Guides, Campfire Assistant, Storytellers or Storyteller Aides (these are second shift). Please try to comment or email if you would like a specific position Please note: If you are signing up to be a storyteller, aide or tour guide in the evening, there will be a required rehearsal in the week or so before the event and you will be in period costumes.
