On Wednesday, March 25, related to COVID-19 Governor Jared Polis issued a stay at home order for the State of Colorado. As such, United Way of Weld County and Catholic Charities are partnering to ensure that we can provide this for individuals experiencing homelessness in Greeley, Evans, and Weld County. To do this, we need your help!
***Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to all volunteers helping at the Housing Navigation Center (HNC).
Qualifications:
- Ability to work with a variety of different people (volunteers, staff and households experiencing homelessness)
- Ability to communicate rules and guidelines clearly.
- Ability to be flexible and perform different daily tasks, depending on what is needed most (e.g. customer service activities, doing regular walking laps around perimeter of shelter space, etc.).
- Positive, flexible and non-judgmental attitude – many of the households we serve have different needs and are at different points on their path back to housing.
