COVID-19 Vaccination Support - The Ranch

Expired

Description

A POD (Point of Distribution) has been established at The Ranch to aid in the COVID-19 vaccination process.  Non-medical volunteers are needed Tuesday through Friday to help with this effort and will be assisting with traffic control, greeting, and observation.  This is a drive-thru clinic and is set up so that you can maintain a 6 foot distance from the individuals, who will remain in their vehicles.  Masks are required.  You will trained on-site.  Lunch is provided.  You are eligible to receive a vaccine after on your first shift.

You must be able to complete a 4 1/2 hour shift.  Most positions require standing and movement, although if you need to be seated there are some options for that and you should communicate that with them upon arrival.  Breaks are given, including lunch, but most volunteers should be prepared to be on their feet.  This opportunity takes place outdoors, so please check the weather for the day you're volunteering and dress accordingly.  Spring in Colorado means rain and sometimes snow!  On hot days, you'll need sunscreen.  You will receive an instruction email 24-72 hours in advance from Volunteers of America.  If you do not see it, please check your SPAM or JUNK folder as they sometimes end up there.

Volunteers ages 16-18 will need to bring a parental consent form with them for their first shift.  Please contact Heather Pulley with Volunteers of America, hpulley@voacolorado.org, to obtain this form in advance.  She is available to answer additional general volunteering questions as well.
