Who We Are

A Little Help’s mission is connecting neighbors to help older adults thrive. We build our model neighborhood by neighborhood, neighbor by neighbor. As a volunteer providing services, we invite you to engage where your passions lie. There are a variety of ways to get involved, including direct service, social engagement, and outreach.

We also strive to provide opportunities for teens and younger volunteers to be involved. As a nonprofit organization, we can provide students with school community service hours, and we are happy to complete the necessary paperwork to show their participation.

What We Do

Since 2005, A Little Help’s (ALH) programs have helped older adults age safely and successfully in place by connecting them to a critical resource found in every community: good neighbors. Localized, community-based volunteers provide support with daily tasks such as yard work, snow removal, grocery and medication delivery, and transportation, in addition to regular check-ins, friendly visits, resource and technology navigation, and caregiver respite. ALH also facilitates intergenerational programming to combat isolation and loneliness, reawaken purpose, and build community. With over 15 years of service to older adults, ALH understands and addresses the unique challenges aging Coloradans experience and supports them in achieving independence, security, and productivity. Each year, ALH empowers and serves over 1,600 older adults (55+) and engages 4,000 local volunteers to fulfill its mission.

A Little Help is preparing to launch in Weld County (Windsor & Johnstown) in Spring 2023. We are currently accepting volunteers to help us successfully serve older adults in Windsor and Johnstown.
