BE PART OF THE SOLUTION AND MAKE AN IMPACT ON YOUTHS BY VOLUNTEERING AT THIS JULY YOUTH PROGRAM WEEK
Make a lasting impact on middle school youth by volunteering as a small group leader or host at the nonprofit Youth Empowerment Group's FREE PowerUp Co-Ed life skill education program for boys and girls from July 15-18th at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greeley! Life skill education supporting mental and social health, safety, equality, resilience, healthy relationships, and academic and life success based on research helps kids create paths to happy, healthy, successful futures. You'll be a welcoming role model for students and find fulfillment in participation No teaching experience is necessary. Lunches, snacks, beverages, t-shirts, and water bottles are included.
Choose your role and schedule to make a difference in middle school kids' lives
Small group leaders sit with and make a table of students feel welcome and included. As a small group leader, you'll watch video lessons with students, lead small group discussions using our written easy-to-follow guides, help students access materials, and participate in and help lead whole class games and activities including community member demonstrations of car
eers, hobbies, arts, and money-management skills. Small groups join together as teams for games.
Program hosts manage supplies and session schedules (including community member demonstration providers), serve lunch/snacks/beverages, track attendance, prepare activities, monitor youth outside the classroom, and assist program leaders as needed.
